Mysterious Murderers Innocent Guide

Stay alive, gather clues, and become the Hero when the Sheriff falls—Granturismo Games survival tactics.

Innocent Guide

Innocent is the default role in Mysterious Murderers, the Roblox murder-mystery game from Winng3447 and Granturismo Games (released 15 April 2026). In a full 12-player lobby, ten or eleven participants are Innocents; one is the hidden Murderer, one is the Sheriff. You spawn unarmed. You win if the Murderer dies (Sheriff or Hero shot) or if the round timer expires with you still alive. This guide teaches survival movement, information gathering, Hero gun pickups, and how to support the Sheriff without becoming collateral damage.

Most matches you will be Innocent—master this role first even if you hope to roll Murderer. Pair this page with Maps and Hiding, Controls, and the opposing Murderer Guide so you understand what killers optimize against you.

What Innocents can and cannot do

Can: Run, jump, emote, hide, witness kills, accuse with chat/voice, pick up a dropped Sheriff gun to become Hero for that round.

Cannot: Spawn with weapons, deal damage without Hero gun, confirm roles via UI, or revive fallen players.

Cosmetics from Weapons and Items and Active Codes change lobby appearance but do not arm you at round start. Do not confuse inventory flex with in-round power.

Survival fundamentals

Stay mobile. Standing still in open plazas invites melee deletes. Loop between cover nodes listed in Maps and Hiding even if you think the Murderer is on the other side of the map.

Avoid pointless clustering. Groups feel safe but let Murderers multi-target and hide swings among bodies. Spread enough to break line-of-sight without isolating yourself completely.

Do not hard tunnel one player without evidence. False accusations waste Sheriff attention and get Innocents shot. Share pathing (“blue shirt came from stairwell after second body”) instead of vibes.

Watch the timer. When under a minute, Murderers panic-kill. Either group near likely Sheriff for protection or break hides to force chases into open sightlines.

Reading the Murderer without RDM

You lack a gun—your eyes are your weapon:

  • Note who arrives first at body piles without having been nearby logically.
  • Track blade flashes even if the kill already happened—Murderers re-equip during chases.
  • Compare sprint patterns: Innocents flee killers; Murderers sometimes sprint toward fresh isolations.
  • Listen for swing whiffs in adjacent rooms—sound cues matter on PC and console.

Feed reads to the Sheriff indirectly. Loud callouts expose the Sheriff; use emotes or follow behavior to guide them toward suspects.

Hero moments: picking up the gun

If the Sheriff shoots an Innocent, the gun drops instantly. If the Sheriff dies to the Murderer, the gun also drops. Any Innocent can interact (E on PC—see Controls) to become Hero.

Before pickup: Scan for Murderer rushing the weapon. A Hero who dies during pickup loses the round.

During pickup: Tap interact immediately; hesitation loses to Murderer melee range.

After pickup: You become Sheriff-equivalent for gun mechanics—one misfire drops the gun again. Only shoot when you would accept the same shot as Sheriff in Sheriff Guide.

Hero play is high glory but high risk. Sometimes survival until timer is the correct call if the Murderer is low on time and you lack angle.

Supporting the Sheriff silently

Good Innocents act like bait without dying on purpose:

  • Walk near choke points to force Murderer reveals while Sheriff holds angle.
  • Break line-of-sight after crossing a suspect so the Sheriff gets a clear shot window.
  • Do not hug the Sheriff—Melee range on both of you is ideal Murderer win condition.

If you think you know the Murderer, position instead of chat-spamming. Stand where you can see the suspect exit while staying off the Sheriff’s crosshair.

Map-specific habits

Granturismo maps mix interiors and verticality. General rules:

  • Interiors: Short sightlines favor Murderers—transit quickly, do not AFK in rooms.
  • Vertical drops: Break pursuit by dropping ledges; Innocents who know drop points survive longer.
  • Dead ends: Never enter unless timer forces a hold—Murderers love camping exits.

Deep callouts live in Maps and Hiding. Re-read after Updates when new maps ship.

Economy and cosmetics while Innocent

Innocent rounds are ideal for learning coin routes if the game spawns collectibles on your current map—check patch notes on Updates. Between rounds, redeem Active Codes and claim Group Rewards like Free Chroma at 50,000 group members so future Murderer/Sheriff rolls look sharper.

Tier List pages rank knives and guns you will eventually equip when RNG favors other roles.

Common Innocent mistakes

  • AFK in spawn because “someone else will handle it.”
  • Chasing the Murderer unarmed instead of routing toward Sheriff.
  • Picking up Hero gun while Murderer stands on the weapon.
  • Following MM2 hiding spots that do not exist here—read Mysterious Murderers vs Murder Mystery 2.
  • Equipping huge chroma knives in inventory then wondering why you still spawn unarmed as Innocent.

Scenario playbook

First body drops near you: Leave the area immediately—staying makes you look guilty and puts you in swing range.

Sheriff misfire chaos: Decide in one second—Hero pickup or flee. Middle-ground standing gets you killed.

Two players left besides you: One is Murderer if Sheriff is confirmed dead. Do not meet them in a dead end; hold open ground toward timer.

Murderer chasing you: Run toward crowds or Sheriff sightlines, not away from the lobby into empty halls.

Innocent wins are quiet but consistent. Master movement, information, and Hero timing and you will climb win rate even when Murderer RNG ignores you for days.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Mysterious Murderers, codes, and this wiki.

How do Innocents win in Mysterious Murderers?

Survive until the timer ends or help eliminate the Murderer via the Sheriff or a Hero Innocent with the dropped gun.

Can Innocents get weapons at spawn?

No. You start unarmed. Only the Murderer and Sheriff receive weapons automatically.

What is a Hero Innocent?

An Innocent who picks up the Sheriff's dropped gun after a misfire or Sheriff death. Heroes shoot like the Sheriff for that round.

Should Innocents stay in big groups?

Not always. Small spread breaks line-of-sight while avoiding easy multi-kills in tight clusters.

Do cosmetics help Innocents survive?

Weapon skins are inventory-only until you roll Murderer or Sheriff. Survival comes from movement and map knowledge.

Where should I hide?

See Maps and Hiding for Granturismo-specific spots. Rotate hides—camping one corner every round gets predictable.
