Mysterious Murderers Murderer Guide
Eliminate the lobby before time runs out—stealth, timing, and catalog knife tactics for Granturismo Games.
The Murderer is the solo hunter in Mysterious Murderers, the Roblox murder-mystery game from Winng3447 and Granturismo Games (released 15 April 2026). Up to 12 players enter each round; exactly one is the Murderer, one is the Sheriff, and the rest are Innocents. Your win condition is simple on paper—eliminate every other player before the timer expires—but public lobbies punish predictable killers fast. This guide covers early-round blending, target selection, knife throws, Sheriff manipulation, and map habits that pair with Maps and Hiding and Controls.
This is not Murder Mystery 2. MM2 habits like identical map corners or old trading-meta flexing do not guarantee wins here. If you are new to the genre in this specific title, read Getting Started first, then return for Murderer-only strategy.
Round zero: first thirty seconds
When roles assign, you spawn with your equipped melee cosmetic—knife, scythe, or catalog blade from Weapons and Items. Do not pull the weapon in the open. Walk at Innocent pace toward high-traffic lanes so nobody sees a blade silhouette early.
Identify the Sheriff indirectly: players who hold distance, pre-aim corners, or break from crowds after the first body are suspects. You never get a nameplate, so behavior is your only read.
Set a mental timer. Innocents win if the clock hits zero with survivors left. Even one living Innocent at buzzer means you lose—do not tunnel one chase while others hide.
Target priority
- Isolated Innocents away from camera lines—fast, low-risk eliminations.
- The Sheriff once you have cover or a throw angle—removing the gun ends the main threat.
- Hero candidates—Innocents hovering near the Sheriff’s corpse path after a misfire.
- Last players—switch to aggressive closes; timer pressure beats stealth.
Avoid killing in full view of ten players unless you can escape immediately. Bodies create panic clusters that help you blend briefly, but also give the Sheriff a stationary aim target.
Melee versus thrown knife
Melee is reliable at backstab range. Approach from blind spots documented per map in Maps and Hiding— stairwells, room corners, balcony drops.
Thrown knife wins ranged fights when the Sheriff overcommits or when two Innocents stack in a choke. Line up before clicking; partial throws waste your only ranged tool and telegraph role.
Practice throw timing in private servers if available. Mobile Murderers should drag camera before attack to avoid whiffs—see Controls.
Sheriff mind games
The Sheriff wants a clear shot without hitting Innocents. You want them to shoot wrong.
- Crowd bait: Run near Innocents without swinging so the Sheriff hesitates.
- Body bait: Kill on the edge of a group so panicked players block the Sheriff’s line.
- Gun pickup denial: After the Sheriff dies or misfires, race the dropped gun. Even if you cannot equip it, denying Hero status wins rounds.
If the Sheriff misses an Innocent, the gun drops instantly—swing on the Hero candidate before they interact. This scenario is covered from the Innocent side in Innocent Guide; learn both perspectives.
Map and movement fundamentals
Granturismo maps mix open sightlines with tight rooms. Murderers lose when they chase across open plazas. Route using cover loops:
- Cut through interior rooms even if pathing is longer.
- Break line-of-sight after every kill—standing over a body is an admission.
- Use vertical drops to escape trailing Innocents who cannot match drop speed.
Full map callouts live in Maps and Hiding. Pair that page with this one before blaming RNG.
Loadout and cosmetics
Murderer blades from codes like OCEAN, LAVA, or chroma variants from Chroma Tier List are cosmetic. They do not increase range, but large silhouettes can give away your position. For flex versus practical picks, see Best Knives.
Redeem working strings via Active Codes and equip in Inventory between rounds.
Endgame scenarios
Sheriff dead, gun unclaimed: Hunt aggressively—only melee threats remain unless a brave Innocent grabs the weapon.
Sheriff alive with two Innocents: Fake Innocent movement, throw from cover, or isolate the Sheriff on stairs where strafe aim is harder.
Timer low: Abandon stealth. Chain kills on the nearest targets; one surviving Innocent at zero seconds loses you the round.
Mistakes to eliminate
- Sprinting blade-out across spawn.
- Multi-killing in front of the Sheriff without an exit.
- Ignoring the timer while chasing one camper.
- Throwing knives into crowds (no guaranteed kill, full role reveal).
- Copying MM2 map habits without reading Granturismo layouts—see Mysterious Murderers vs Murder Mystery 2.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about Mysterious Murderers, codes, and this wiki.
How does the Murderer win in Mysterious Murderers?
Eliminate every other player—Sheriff and all Innocents—before the round timer ends. One survivor at buzzer means the Murderer loses.
Can the Murderer throw the knife?
Yes. Thrown knives are your primary ranged tool. Use them for Sheriff fights or finishing fleeing Innocents when melee will not reach.
Should I kill the Sheriff first?
Not always. Secure safe Innocent picks early to reduce eyes, then delete the Sheriff when you have cover or a throw angle.
Do knife skins change damage or range?
No. Catalog knives and chroma variants are cosmetic. Equip what fits your stealth profile—see Best Knives tier list.
What if the Innocents hide until timer?
Track hiding spots from Maps and Hiding and push aggressively when under a minute. Passive play favors Innocents.
Is this the same as Murder Mystery 2 Murderer?
Similar role, different game. Maps, codes, and creators differ—MM2 guides will mislead you here.
