Getting Started with Mysterious Murderers
Your first-hour walkthrough for Winng3447 and Granturismo Games' 12-player murder mystery on Roblox.
Mysterious Murderers is a Roblox murder-mystery game created by Winng3447 under Granturismo Games, released on 15 April 2026. Servers hold up to 12 players. Each round secretly assigns one Murderer, one Sheriff, and the rest Innocents. You never choose your role in advance—assignment is random every match—so the best first-session goal is learning what each role must do and how wins are decided. This guide is the on-ramp before you dive into specialized pages like the Murderer Guide, Sheriff Guide, or Innocent Guide.
If you arrived from a search for Murder Mystery 2, stop here: Mysterious Murderers is a separate Roblox experience with its own codes, maps, and creators. MM2 promo strings will not work. Read Mysterious Murderers vs Murder Mystery 2 when you want a full comparison; for now, treat this title as familiar genre, unfamiliar details.
How a round works
When the lobby fills and the round starts, you receive a private role notification. Only you know whether you are the Murderer, Sheriff, or Innocent. Other players must infer roles from movement, positioning, and deaths.
Murderer spawns with a melee weapon—typically a knife or catalog blade from your equipped cosmetic loadout. The Murderer wins by eliminating every other player before time runs out.
Sheriff spawns with a gun. The Sheriff wins for the Innocent team by identifying and shooting the Murderer. If the Sheriff shoots an Innocent by mistake, the gun drops and any surviving Innocent can pick it up to become a Hero for that round.
Innocent spawns unarmed. Innocents win by surviving until the timer ends or by helping the Sheriff/Hero stop the Murderer. You cannot attack without picking up a dropped gun.
Round flow is fast: learn the win condition for your assigned role within the first five seconds, then execute. Standing still in the open is the most common beginner mistake across all three roles.
First-session checklist
Work through this list on your first three to five matches:
- Complete one round as each role if RNG allows. Even watching the post-round summary helps you recognize Murderer swing timing and Sheriff aim tells.
- Open Inventory once between rounds. This is where you redeem codes, equip weapon skins, and claim group milestone rewards like Free Chroma when the Granturismo Games group hits 50,000 members.
- Redeem at least one working code. Visit Active Codes and try a confirmed string such as SEASON4 for coins or a weapon code like OCEAN if it is still live on your server. Copy-paste to avoid case typos.
- Join the official Granturismo Games Roblox group. Group membership unlocks milestone cosmetics documented in Group Rewards.
- Read Controls for your platform. Mobile players lose melees when they fat-finger jump; PC players lose gunfights when they have not bound comfortable keys.
- Skim Maps and Hiding after your first death. Most early losses are positioning errors, not bad luck.
Inventory, cosmetics, and codes
Mysterious Murderers uses catalog-style weapon cosmetics. Knives and guns you unlock through codes or milestones appear in your inventory and can be equipped as your lobby loadout. Cosmetics change how you look when you spawn as Murderer or Sheriff; they do not turn Innocents into armed players at round start.
Redemption path: Inventory → Enter Code → Redeem. Rewards usually appear instantly. If nothing shows, rejoin a fresh server and verify the code on Active Codes—expired strings fail silently except for an error toast.
For weapon terminology and how chroma variants differ from standard skins, see Weapons and Items and the Chroma Tier List.
Role tips in one paragraph each
Murderer: Blend into crowds early. Do not sprint toward isolated players with your blade visible. Save thrown knife attempts for when a Sheriff exposes themselves or when you must finish the last targets before timer. Full strategy lives in the Murderer Guide.
Sheriff: Hold a sightline, not a crowd. Shooting into a cluster risks hitting Innocents and dropping your gun to the Murderer. Track who breaks away when bodies drop. Details in the Sheriff Guide.
Innocent: Stay moving, break line-of-sight, and note who was near each body. If the Sheriff dies, decide quickly whether you can grab the gun safely. The Innocent Guide covers Hero pickups and bait avoidance.
Where to go next
After this page, follow the path that matches your pain point:
- Died without seeing the killer → Maps and Hiding
- Lost Sheriff gunfights → Sheriff Guide and Best Guns
- Got eliminated early as Murderer → Murderer Guide and Best Knives
- Want free gear → Active Codes and Group Rewards
- Patch changes → Updates
Mysterious Murderers rewards repetition. Roles are random, but map knowledge, crosshair discipline, and inventory prep carry every match. Use this wiki hub loop—learn, redeem, re-queue—until win conditions feel automatic.
